“I’m happy to say this is the first release from my new album ‘a̶b̶s̶e̶n̶t̶ origin’ out November 5th worldwide. It’s a collage album about edges and borders, cutting and tearing, and composing new combinations that point to an audio visual manifesto for the 21st century. I made this video myself in the studio; first some dancing in front of a green screen, then lots of scanning and collage making – some analogue with scissors and glue – some digital. It’s from these assemblages that I created many individual background animations, I then overlaid the live action and then edited all to my song. It was great fun to do and very personal, the video references many of the key themes at play on the album, protest, social justice geopolitics and the practice and work of individual visual collage artists past and present.”
